Stayed nearly 3 weeks at Finca de Nada, it is like living in a National Park, and the privacy there is hard to find elsewhere in Costa Rica. Hundreds of meters of private beach, no neighbours, so nude bathing with girlfriend and at night with the amazing florescent plankton was an an amazing experiance.
The place has more comfort that one would expect, fridge, washing mashine and internet is there. The garden has fruits and herbs, just watch out for the falling coconuts!;-)
I had a wonderful weekend getaway at Finca de Nada, it reminded me of when I was a kid and we went to our chalet for a weekend of fun and to disconnect from city life. It was a time to relax and reflect, a chance to getaway, far away, and to do so in nature and in good company. We picked herbs from the garden to spice up our meals and took the kayaks around the bay. To our surprise we discovered a waterfall and a great beach with clay for a mini spa retreat! The beach had soft waves for swimmers and a starlit sky for romantics - a great lodge getaway! :)
The first time I stayed there I was filled with natural apprehension. I could not imagine sharing the jungle with it's natural inhabitants without the barriers of doors and windows to shield me from unknown harms. Apprehension was soon supplanted by the realization that I was immersed in a completely natural setting, and a part of something much greater than myself. The visual images by day of birds, monkeys, and butterflies were supplanted by the exotic music of the jungle at night. I woke early the next morning and walked on the magnificent beach, surrounded all around by glorious hues of color of rising sun. It was akin to being present at the dawn of creation. Raw, unfiltered beauty, and watching nature play itself out on an indescribable stage....
